Dear Adilynn,
Today we had a good day here at home. Daddy has been sick with the flu so he stayed home today. You were very worried about him and wanted to know where he was throughout the day.
You are playing so well independently these days. It makes me a little sad, but you are growing up so quickly. TOO quickly!
You and Avery play a lot during the day. Daddy sat out on the front porch with you guys tonight while you used your sidewalk chalk.
Oh! You started gymnastics this week!!! At first you didn't like your class, but then you got used to it and started doing everything. Then you cried when it was time to leave. You are excited to go back next week!!!!
You love the movie "Little Rascals" and you are so good at quoting the movie! It's cute.
I love you. You are a blessing and such an easy, well behaved three year old.
Love,
Mommy

Adilynn Grace,
This week was Valentine's Day. On Monday Daddy came home at lunchtime and brought all of us flowers!!! You saw him get out of the car and you got all excited and said "are those for me or for Avery?!" Daddy gave me a bouquet of flowers and you and Avery each got a single red rose. You loved it and we put it in a vase.
The snow has all melted here and yesterday the weather was really nice. We went for a walk and thanked Jesus for the sunshine as we walked.
Last night you went to the hospital with Daddy because Tiffany was very sick. Daddy said you were so well behaved and listened well. Tiffany is doing better and will be here this weekend.
Today you wanted to hold your rose from Daddy. You were holding it and you said "Thank you Jesus for my daddy!" It was really cute.
You have been here this week with me and Avery. You guys have been busy playing and running around. You love to color and cut paper and do art stuff.
Daddy and I love you so much. You are such a joy and a blessing to us. We love being your parents.
Love,
mommy

Snow day!
Gracie girl!!!!
I meant to start this blog for you at the beginning of the year, but time kept getting away. Well, you are now 3 years old and 3 months. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday I was still fat and pregnant with you and craving crushed ice. Even though you are 3, you act so much older. Not to mention you LOOK older as well. You are easily the size of a 5 year old, and in fact, are bigger than many 5 year old boys!! Wow....my girl is going to be tall like her daddy! You have such a sweet spirit and a kind heart. You are giving, gentle, shy, and very funny! You are so pretty with your blond curls and blue eyes. I could go on and on about what a blessing you are, but you know that already because I tell you that everyday.
Today we had a big storm here!! You woke up at 6 and crawled in bed with daddy and I. You haven't done that in a long time! We woke up and then spent most of the day playing and looking out the window! You and Avery played together and of course, chased each other throughout the house. Sometimes Avery likes to take your baby dolls and run with them because she knows it gets a reaction out of you!!! :)
I wish I could bottle you up at age 3 and keep you this way forever, but I know I can't. I truly enjoy each stage with you and I continue to look forward to see what life will bring you. You are an amazing little girl and you have so much to offer. God is watching over you and will use you to do great things. (By the way, you asked me the other day if Jesus likes bubble gum!!!)
I love you sis, so much. And so does daddy. You are our sweet angel.
Love,
mommy
